The Future

This short is a comically cynical vision of a future where the water is gone, all that’s left is dust and desperation.
Greg recalls, “I grew up in 1980’s NZ and there was a lot of Greenpeace activism, talk of acid rain, Chernobyl, the cold war, nuclear testing. I learned that the earth is doomed.”
As big fans of Russian national treasure Yury Norstein, we felt stop motion had surreal qualities that perfectly matched the profound stupidity of the concept.
The Future is our first short film using a digital stop-motion pipeline that we’ve developed.
The Future is currently being screened at festivals locally and internationally.
